Mary Ann Corcoran Chastant, born October 4, 1937, passed away with cancer on 
Thursday, December 1, 2011.

She was born in New Orleans and graduated from Warren Easton High School.

Beloved wife of Carl A. Chastant, Sr. Loving mother of Carl A. Chastant, Jr. 
and the late Traci Ann Chastant. Grandmother of Sophie and Mason Chastant. 
Great-grandmother of Justin and Rayne. She is also survived by one brother, 
John Corcoran.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Corcoran; and 
brothers, Louis, George Calvin, Stanley, August Dudley and George, Jr.

Mary was small in size but big in heart. She was a loving person. We’re going 
to miss you.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at Mary Queen of Peace 
Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Monday, 
December 5, 2011at 12:00 noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Chastant be 
made to The American Cancer Society.
