Dr. Richard Edward Donovan passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at age 
61.

Beloved husband of Jane Woods Donovan. Loving father of step-daughter, 
Alexandra Perkins and sons Robert Edward and Michael Glen Donovan. Son of the 
late Anne Tanzola Donovan and Edward Donovan. Brother of Lawrence Edward 
Donovan, William Akira Donovan, Maureen Makiko La Selva and the late Robert 
Edward Donovan.

Dr. Donovan was a native of East Orange, NJ and a longtime resident of Abita 
Springs, LA where he had a medical practice in Mandeville, Covington and 
Bogalusa. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be 
greatly missed by his family, friends and his many patients.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral 
Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, December 31, 2011 
at 11:00 AM with visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM until Mass time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Dr. Donovan be 
made to the Alzheimers Foundation.
