ALVA S. DUMESTRE, 85, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011, 
at University Hospital in New Orleans.

Beloved Wife of Edward R. Dumestre;
Mother of Cynthia Rodney;
Sister of the late Lloyd Savoie, Beverley Savoie, and Loise Savoie; Also 
survived by three grandchildren: Katrina Bartos , Kevin Rodney, Kerri Anne 
Rodney; and nine great-grandchildren.

A native of New Orleans, and a resident of Slidell for the past 31 years. She 
was known for her panoramic easter eggs that she gave to residents in the area.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. 
Funeral Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST 
(IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 1:00 
P.M.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 11:00am.
Interment will be in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
