She was born Oct. 12, 1941. She is the daughter of the late Adam and Lena Faciane. She is survived by her daughter, Nikki Renee Williams Nagler (Jason) of Valley Village, Calif.; sister Florel Faciane Harrison of Slidell; brothers A. Kirby Faciane (Phyllis) of Vallejo, Calif. and Daniel Faciane (Rosa) of Madisonville. She is the former President CEO/Co-Founder of UAW Labor Employment and Training Corporation; Co-Founder of The Career Center at the New York World Trade Center; Member of the joint venture of GM and Toyota creating NUMMI; former Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Urban League; former Board member of CORO Foundation; former State of California Commissioner of the Employment Training Panel; former Commissioner, Los Angeles County Highway Safety Commission; former member of the State of California Public Procurement Advisory Board; former member of the Los Angeles Private Industry Council; former member of the State of California Youth Authority Free Ventures; Ambassador to China; owner of Faciane & Associates; President/CEO of 5401 Associates, LLP and President/CEO of 5401 Development Corporation. She was Debutante Queen of St. Tammany High School 1959; Rockwell International Community Interface Award; Mother of the Year - Notre Dame Academy; NWOA Business Professional of the Year; Los Angeles Community Labor Center Award and listed in Who’s Who of Women and other distinguished biographical entries A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Jan. 4, 2012 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Los Angeles at 11a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, Calif.
