Beloved husband of Patricia Sims Jones. Loving father of Laura Jones Norsworthy (husband, Sam), Brian Jack Jones (wife, Sharmalee) and Scott Orville Jones (wife, Michelle). Son of the late Ethel Muench Jones and Orville F. Jones. Brother of Carolyn Swayne and the late Marilyn Gumpert. He graduated from Warren Easton High School and attended Tulane University. He served proudly in the Air National Guard as an airplane mechanic. He loved technology and volunteered his expertise at his church, the Samaritan Center, and Mandeville Middle School. He served as an ordained elder and Church Treasurer at New Covenant Presbyterian Church. He loved to shrimp and fish and had a wide range of hobbies through the years including vegetable gardening, homemade bread making, wine and beer making, and New Orleans cooking, Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral services at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 4375 Hwy 22, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 12:00 noon with visitation from 10 am to time of service, with interment to follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
