He was born August 9, 1929 in Bristol, PA. Son of the late Samuel and Margaret Modica. Brother of the late Arthur Modica and Rose Modica Decker. Survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Patricia Greer Modica. Father of Connie Modica Faucon (Greg) and Ted Modica, Jr. (Leanne); also stepfather of Jeffrey P. Downing (Li), Denise D. Hanby (Dean), and Michele D. deZayas (Ricky). Grandfather of Tiphanie Faucon-Treadway (Sherman), Kimberly M. Faucon, Jordan, Taylor and Peyton Hanby, Alexis and Alexandria deZayas, and Jacob P. Downing. Uncle to Windy Decker Casada (Tim) and the late Arnold Rocquin. He will be missed by all friends and relatives. Retired from AT&T (Bellsouth) after 35 years of service. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp for six years and was a survivor of the Chosin Few Reservoir Campaign. He was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America and made a positive impact on lives of his scouts. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and all of his family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 5:00 PM.
