Candice Caroline Schoen of Waldheim, Louisiana went home to be with her Lord on 
December 16, 2011. 

As a lifelong member of Waldheim United Methodist Church, she was loved and 
cherished for her special gifts. She was also an avid horseback rider at New 
Heights Therapeutic Riding Center in Folsom, Louisiana where she was recently 
named the Champion Rider for her division and awarded the Best Sportsmanship 
Award for 2011.

She was born in Covington, Louisiana on December 9, 1991 and she attended 
several Mandeville area schools. Candice participated in the Bulldog Buddies 
Club at Fontainebleau High School where she was a junior. She was a regular 
camper at the Tiger Paw Summer Camp Program. Candice’s last gift to others was 
the gift of life as an organ donor.

Candice is survived by her parents Michael G. Schoen and Patricia Williams 
Schoen, brothers Michael Charles Schoen and Jacob Schoen, sisters Cody Schoen 
and Rebecca Schoen, and nieces Charlie Caroline Schoen, Abigail Ann Schoen, 
Alice Elizabeth Schoen, and Samantha Cate Candice Schoen and grandmother 
Shirley J. Williams, and preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Charles 
F. Williams. 

She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service 
on Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 12:00 PM from E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 
2260 W. 21st. Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visitation will be held from 9:00am 
until service time. After the funeral service there will be a reception at the 
Waldheim United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

The family requests that those wishing to send flowers instead make a donation 
in Candice’s honor to New Heights Therapeutic Riding Center.
