Jim was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 29, 1938 and is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Anna Margaret Houser and his brother, John (Jack) Houser. He is survived by his wife, Michen Milazo Houser, four sons: James Martin(Pam), John (Carla), Stuart (Leslie), Rex (Tiffany); his sister, Mary Hill Dewey (Don); his brother, Henry Greer (Laurel) and the joy of his life; his ten grandchildren. Jim was a dedicated physician in the Internal Medicine Group in east New Orleans until his retirement. His pleasures included his camp at Lake Catherine (the source of much enjoyment for himself and a whole host of friends) and a love of “true” country music. He’ll surely add a twang to the heavenly chorus. He named a list of “best friends” whom he treasured and you know who you are. The family would like to thank everyone at the Slidell Memorial Cancer Center, particularly Dr. Matt McElveen, and the Lakeshore Hospice for their care and comfort. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to either. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 66192 St. Mary Drive, Pearl River, La. 70452, on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at which time a Memorial Mass will be said. ===================
