HERMAN THOMAS “TOMMY” JAMES, of Slidell, LA, age 66, passed away at his 
residence on Monday, January 16, 2012. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlette Holden James for the past 45 
years. 
Father of Leona James Bennett (Mike) and Brian Thomas James (Leslie). Son of 
the late Herman T. and Vivian Lee James.
Brother of Vivian James Lee, Elizabeth “Betty” James and the late Eugene “Gene” 
James and Randall Ray James.
Also survived by 5 wonderful grandchildren; James R., Zachary T. and Chad A. 
Bennett and Eric T. and Dylan T. James; and a precious great granddaughter; 
Gracielyn M. Bennett.

A native of Atlanta, GA and a lifelong resident of Slidell, LA. Mr. James 
proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a retired A/C Technician and 
Manager for Carrier Commercial Services in New Orleans, LA. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 12:00pm. 
Visitation will be from 10:00am until 12:00pm. 
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
