Delbert I. Mills passed away January 23, 2012 at the age of 90. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Jenny Mills of Wichita KS. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene C. Mills; 2 sons Gary A. Mills 
and Randy S. Mills; 4 grandchildren Richard L. Mills, Rachel L. Mills, Amanda 
B. Mills, Matthew B. Mills; and his sister Mary Ellen M. Friend. 

In 1963, Delbert transferred with Boeing from Wichita KS to New Orleans, 
settling in Slidell. He retired from Boeing in 1972, and for the next 10 years 
he was owner/operator of the Slidell Muffler Shop. 
Delbert was a decorated WWII Veteran, a member of the Lions Club, American 
Legion, and VFW Post 5735. 

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at VFW Post 5735, 159 Village 
Street, Slidell LA on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cannon Hospice, 101 N. Causeway, 
Mandeville LA 70401.
