NEWSHAM

Our beloved mother, Patricia Gill Newsham, of Slidell, passed away Dec. 27, 
2011, in her sleep. 

She was born on March 16, 1929, one of eight children, to Herman and Gladys 
Himel of Hammond. 
The beloved wife of the late “Coach” Audis C. Gill, she is survived by two 
brothers, Ray Himel of New Iberia, and Jamie Himel of Morgan City; eight 
children, John (Alba) Gill, Kathy (Carrol) Hoover, Sally (Steve) Ott, Pat 
(Mary) Gill, Carol (George) Cureau, Mike (Yadira) Gill, Tim (Aida) Gill and 
Colleen (Kenneth) Granger; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her cooking, (especially her sweets!), her garden, her love for life and 
family, and her smile and quick humor will be missed.

Private graveside services were held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell, 
Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. 
“I am Home in Heaven, Dear Ones, Oh so Happy and so Bright”.
