She was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Meda Schoen Brennan. She was born in New Orleans on August 22, 1922 and lived there for 83 years. The beloved wife of the late Spencer G. Smith, she is survived by two daughters, Stephanie S. Dudenhefer and Ellen S. FitzPatrick (David); two sons, Spencer G. Smith, Jr. (Cat) and Brennan J. Smith (Deile); her sister, Elaine B. McClain (William, II); six grandchildren, Cary Dudenhefer, Christie D. Bozzelle, Sean and Erin FitzPatrick, Katie Fleuriet-Smith, and Behrgen Smith; and six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Visiting hours will begin at the Church Saturday at 10:00 AM. Private committal services will take place at a later date.
