Carolyn Mae Bakay, 78, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at her home.

She was the beloved wife of Richard Bakay; loving mother of Michelle Bakay 
(deceased), Lynn Bakay Sonzala (Frank), Richard Bakay (Annette), Scott Bakay, 
Jill Bakay Bell and Stuart Bakay (Amy); sister of Janette Stewart and Margaret 
Hall of California; loving grandmother to Jamie and Richard McGee, Timothy 
Craven and Chance Sonzala, Emmit and Devin Bakay, Carly Cenac, Allison and 
Lindsey Bell and Brandi, Ryan and Abigail Bakay; and great-grandmother to Kai 
and Jacoby Cenac, Layla Bakay and twin boys arriving in May.

She will be laid to rest in her native home of Denver, Colo. 

She will be remembered for her strong Catholic faith, passion of the arts, 
singing with the Sweet Adeline Choir and love of reading that led to a career 
as a librarian.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at the home of 
Richard and Carolyn Bakay, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, between 2 and 5 p.m. In lieu 
of flowers, consider donations to the Arthritis Foundation.
