DAWSON

Joan Lorraine Oubre Dawson, 79, passed away Feb. 21, 2012, at River Region 
Hospice House.

The beloved wife of Edwin S. Dawson, she was the mother of Janet D. Bucher 
(Lou), Mark E. Dawson and Susan D. Livaudais (André) and grandmommie of 
Meredith, Emily and Adam Bucher, Justin and Brandon Dawson and Ailleen and 
Hayden Livaudais.
She is also survived by a brother, John Al Oubre, and sister, Rita Mae Boutté; 
sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

She was a longtime parishioner of St. Benedict Parish.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Doctors Hospice 
and River Region Hospice House and Ester Allen for their caring and compassion.

A private memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at St. Joseph 
Abbey blessed by the Rev. Jonathan DeFrange. 
Interment was in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
