Joseph Edward Goodrow passed away at his home on February 27, 2012 at the age 
of 78. 

He was the son of the late Robert Goodrow Sr. and Marie Sheldon Goodrow. 

He was born and raised in Abita Springs and a resident of Mandeville for the 
past 56 years. 

His love of Mandeville and the lake kept him here and captured his heart. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Spell Goodrow. Father of 
Glen Joseph Goodrow (Leslie) and the late Dale Anthony Goodrow. Grandfather of 
Anthony Goodrow, Jason Goodrow, Meghan LaGrange, and Nathan Goodrow. Great-
grandfather of Colby Goodrow. Brother of Robert Goodrow Jr., the late Nelson 
Goodrow, and Sheldon Goodrow. He is also survived by 3 step grandchildren and 3 
step great grandchildren and a host of very much loved nieces, nephews, 
neighbors and lifelong friends. 

Special thanks to his godchild and neice Elaine Pennington and everyone who 
helped us through our time of need.

Funeral Service in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, 
Covington, LA 70435 on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 4:00 pm. Visitation from 2:00 
pm until service time.

Interment will be at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
