He was the beloved husband and best friend of Jamie Hattier; the loving father of William Connell Edward Hattier and Sara Rae Hattier. He will be sadly missed by his children. He was the son of Bill Hattier and Carolyn M. Condon and step- mom Angie Hattier; grandson of Louis A., Jr. and Hermine S. Hattier, Carmel D. Condon and the late Edward W. Condon. He is the son-in-law of Janet T. Connell and brother-in-law of Ryan P. Neal (Kimberly) and Kristen C. Essaied (Anthony). He is also survived by his nephews Noah and Cooper. Duane Hattier was employed with Sonitrol of New Orleans for 15 years where he established a great family of friends and co-workers. Duane loved his family and children. His adventurous spirit and belief in overcoming any obstacle was an inspiration to everyone that knew him. He tried every day to be the best he could be. He never gave up. Duane and Jamie along with their two children resided in St Tammany Parish, Abita Springs, Louisiana for the past 7 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours will begin Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
