Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2012/st1202.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Early Wednesday morning, February 1, 2012, Nettie Adams Hayward, age 87, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her Hammond home surrounded by her loved ones. Nettie was the daughter of the late Willow Adams and Viola Collier Kimble and the sister of Robert Kimble (Nita) and Syvonne Horgis. She was the beloved mother of two children, Gerald Henson (Jane) and Deborah G. Salles (Claude Jr.) She is also survived by two grandchildren: Melissa Schwartz (Tony) and Kimberly Carlson (Eric); three great-grand children: Samantha Serpas (Ben), Amber Elie, and Madison Elie; two step great-grand children Tony Schwartz II and Damien Schwartz; and countless adoring family and friends including extended family: Claude Salles III (Rene’), Kayla Weaver, Skylar Salles, Chandra Barre’ (Steve), Greg Maynard, Shari Hall (Alan), and Hannah Hall. Nettie was born in Livonia, Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, retiring at the age of 62. She peacefully lived out the rest of her years quietly caring for her beloved family and cherished pets. She will be deeply missed and always remembered. Visitation Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the caring staff of Hospice Compassus and North Oaks Medical Center.
