Ruth Orene Curry Hughes passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 in 
Mandeville, LA at the age of 95. 

A native of Holcomb, MS and lived in the Covington area for over 65 years. 

Beloved wife of the late J.B. "Joe" Hughes. 
Mother of Helen H. Whittington of Mandeville and Michael S. Hughes of Bogalusa. 
Sister of Lois Staten of Winona, MS, Lena Tilghman of Jackson, MS, the late 
Floyd Curry, Flora Keaton and Myrtle VanDerschaegenand. 
Grandmother of seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren 
and she was preceded in death by one grandson, Billy D. Whittington.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36 Covington, LA on Sunday morning, 
February 19, 2012 at 11:00 am. 
Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, from 9:00 am until service time. 

Interment immediately following at Garden of the Pines Cemetery, Covington, LA. 

Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home Covington, LA.
