She was born July 7, 1927, in Evansville. She was a graduate of Bosse High School and West Side Beauty College. She worked at Klein’s Hair Fashions in Evansville for nine years. She moved to Colorado, where she was a manager and instructor at LaVonne’s School of Beauty and attended classes at the University of Colorado. She continued to dress hair until the age of 78 at Christwood Assisted Living Center in Covington. After living in Louisiana, she lost her home during Hurricane Katrina, and moved back to Newburgh. She was a member of First Christian Church in Newburgh and Daughters of the Nile. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine. She was twice widowed by her husbands, Cecil C. Hopper and Dale B. March. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Vernon C. and Ruth A. Price. She is survived by daughters, Cecilia R. Best (James) of Covington and Marian L. Trapp (Ray) of Newburgh; son, C. Bud Hopper (Nancy) of Newburgh; grandchildren, Deborah A. O’Connor (James), James P. Best Jr. (Anna), Skip Trapp (Amy), Kristi Bruch (John), Tricia Venditti (Andrew), Maria A. Pascal (Chris); seven great grandchildren; brother, Vernon A. Price (Sara) of Las Vegas; and nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Claypool, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. There will be a Daughters of the Nile Memorial Service Sunday at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice or Daughters of the Nile Convalescent Endowment Fund. ===================
