Pickett a native of Erath, a long time resident of Slidell and a resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Saturday February 18, 2012 at the age of 72. Mr. Pickett was retired from Shell Oil Company with 35 years of service. Visitation will be at St. George Catholic Church on Thursday February 23, 2012 from 1:30pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 officiated by Rev. Michael Schatzle. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, June Primeaux Pickett, one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Craig Mullett, two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Pickett and A.J. and Jennifer Pickett, eight grandchildren, Patrick and Stephen Mullett, Casie Callais and husband Brandon, Chad, Brett, Brody, Cooper, and Spencer Pickett. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathryn Duhon and Beverly Suire and a brother Kenneth Pickett. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice and The Carpenter House.
