Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2012/st1203.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Walter Carter, 67, a retired salesman and best known for his work with Championship Auto Shows as Chairman for World of Wheels New Orleans, died on Valentine’s Day of cancer at his Slidell home. He was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell for 28 years. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Deborah McGuire Carter; five children: Marie Walls, Karen Schnadelbach, Wayne Carter, and David and Dionne DeNoux; eight grandchildren, Alan and Ryan Wolfe, Carter Thompson, Tyler and Spencer Schnadelbach, Kameron Carter, and Megan and Joseph DeNoux; one great-grandson, Tyler Wayne DeNoux; brothers Alan and David Carter; sister Greta “Peachie” Stakes; and his ex-wife, Carolyn Abernathy Carter. He was preceded in death by parents, Walter “Buck” Carter and Greta Matherne Carter. Walter had a host of other loving family members including in-laws, Sylvia and Bob McGuire and countless friends. Walter’s whole body was donated for science and research. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 Hwy 433, Slidell. Visitation and Rosary will begin at 10 a.m. There will also be a celebration of life for Walter from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday March 27, 2012 at DuBuisson Gallery, 300 Robert Street, Slidell.
