Patrick Michael Garrison, Sr., 60, passed away March 21, 2012. He was born Aug. 6, 1951, in Slidell to the late Christine Alexander Windolph. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Pichon Garrison. He is survived by two sons, Bryan A. Garrison and Dr. Patrick M. Garrison, Jr. and Allison Garrison; six grandchildren; one sister, Sandra G. Sievert; one brother, Dan Garrison, and numerous nieces and nephews. Col. Garrison received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1973, and his master’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996. After his military retirement, he received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2004 from the University of Oklahoma. After a distinguished military career, his final active duty assignment was at Tulane University in New Orleans where he served as commander of the ROTC unit. At the time of his death Col. Garrison was a resident of Edmond, Okla., and an active member of The First United Methodist Church in Edmond, The American Legion and the OKC Gun Club. He was currently employed by the District Attorney’s Office in Oklahoma City. He was devoted to his family and loved his county. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, and co-workers. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Mercy Hospital Physicians and Medical Personnel, and the Mercy Hospice for their loving care and support. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. today at New Covenant United Methodist Church on South Boulevard, with the Rev. Dr. Bertha Potts of the First United Methodist Church, Edmond, officiating. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond with fully military honors. Services conducted by Matthews Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to wounded warriors project or to Food For Kids Back Pack. ===================
