Loving mother of Candis Gene Gleason, Cynthia Ann Gleason and Crystal Ann Gleason. Daughter of the late Lydia Sapier Case and Theodore Elliot Case. Sister of the late Ida Foto, Louise Palermo, Lydia Giardina, Kitty Huxen, Doris Jean McCall, Martha Berlier, Henry Case and Elliot Case. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Elrita was a licensed floral designer and horticulturist and was the owner of Carrollton Avenue Florist, Carrollton Flower Market and Elrita’s Florist. She was a member of Jefferson Senior Citizens Pink House, Mandeville Senior Citizens Club, New Image Club Mandeville and H2U Club. Elrita was a fun loving local celebrity, hardworking, creative costume designer, patented inventor, master of ingenuity, avid gardener, lover of flowers, loved to dance, successful renovator in real estate and apartment complex owner with the heart of a gunfighter. Her most important ambition was raising her three daughters on her own. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 3:00 PM. with visitation on Friday from 2:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations in memory of Elrita be made to Children’s Hospital. ===================
