Helen Turnage Hood passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Covington, LA. 

She was born March 6, 1927 to the late Thomas Eugene and Abbie Galloway Turnage 
in Bentonia, MS.

The beloved wife of Layton E. Hood, she is survived by her daughter, Mona Hood 
Bellecci; two sons, Glenn E. and Kenneth L. Hood; two sisters, Abbie Dee Adams 
and Porter Faye Vandevere; one brother, Lawrence (Booster) Turnage; seven 
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 
21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.

A wake is scheduled for Monday, March 5, 2012 from 6-9:00 PM with visiting 
hours beginning Tuesday at 9:00 AM.

Graveside services at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS will take place on 
Tuesday at 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Manor Activity 
Department, 1820 W. Causeway App. Mandeville, LA 70471.
