Mildred “Millye” Leydecker, 76, of Pearl River, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, surrounded by her family at Ochsner Medical Center - Northshore in Slidell. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Bill Leydecker Sr.; mother of Rebecca M. Zwirek (Joseph); stepmother of M.W., Jr., Sim, Chris and Starr Alverez and Terri Heintz and sister of Francis Mahoney, Jr. (the late Marion), Edward Mahoney (Rose), Dorothy Moisant and Catherine Carvello. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Katherine Noel, PFC Edward Dowling, Jr. and Shannen Dowling and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Shell, Emma Noel and T.J. Bolf. 

She was a native of Massachusetts and a resident of Pearl River for the past 30 years. 

She retired from Pan American Life Insurance Co and was a former school crossing guard at Brock Elementary in Slidell.
