Sylvia Chatellier Leyva passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 after a 2- 1/2 
year battle with brain cancer. Aged 73 years.

Beloved wife of 53 years to Dalberto (Dal) Leyva of Madisonville. A native of 
Madisonville, LA and former resident of San Antonio, TX, Arlington, VA, Agana, 
Guam, New Boston, NH, San Jose, CA, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, and 
Aurora, CO. She was a resident of Madisonville since March 1998. Preceded in 
death by a daughter, Leslie Aileen, aged 3-1/2. Survived by two daughters, 
Victoria Leyva of Atlanta, GA, Felicia Leyva-Adams of Sandy Springs, GA and a 
son, Ricardo Leyva of San Jose, CA. Also survived by three grandchildren, 
Morgan Ashley Thoryk of Chicago, IL, Cameron Laine Leyva of Atlanta, GA and 
Michaela Madison Leyva of San Jose, CA. Also survived by two sisters, Sandra 
Ware of Burleson, TX and Karen Wilner of Covington, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service 
at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on 
Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Tuesday from 9:00 AM 
until service time.

Interment will follow in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery.
