Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2012/st1203.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Leroy Louis Mistich passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, March 28, 2012 at his home in Mandeville, LA. He was born July 13, 1926 in New Orleans to the late Stephen Peter and Mattie May Duffy Mistich. The beloved husband of Ruth Seeger Mistich, he is survived by one daughter, Leslie Mistich Whittle; his son-in-law, Bill Whittle; two grandchildren, Lauren Whittle, Blake Whittle and wife Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen P. Mistich, Jr. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. After being honorably discharged he began a career in the automotive industry where he worked for over 30 years at several Chrysler dealerships around New Orleans. In 1982, he moved to Mandeville and with his experience started his own business as an Automotive Insurance Adjuster. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, avid fisherman and mentor to many. He was a loyal friend and always available to help others. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours will begin Saturday at 9:00 AM. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, or to the American Cancer Society ===================
