KOURTNEY LEIGH MARTIN MORGAN, after a courageous battle with breast cancer, she 
fought many battles but lost the war. 

She was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Kourtney was a 
resident of Slidell and a native of St. Bernard Parish. 

She passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the tender age of 34. 

She graduated from Chalmette High School in 1996 and earned her Master’s as a 
Registered Dietician from LA Tech, Ruston, LA in 2002. Upon graduation, she was 
hired at Slidell Memorial Hospital and worked for 10 years. 
In her younger years, Kourtney worked at Goody’s Snowball Stand in Chalmette. 
She was a gifted athlete and excelled in softball, volleyball and track at 
Chalmette High School. 

Kourtney is survived by her loving husband Steve Morgan; three children, 
Kameron Martin, Korrine Morgan and Kole Morgan; step-mother of Cassandra 
Morgan, Savannah Morgan and Nicholas Morgan. 
Kourtney is also survived by her parents Gary “Arky” and Patsy Martin, two 
brothers Kevin (Wife Carol) and Kazz (wife Krystal) and her best friend and 
only sister Kacie Mule (husband David). 
Granddaughter of Violet Shuff. Godmother of Dylan Stortz. 
She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents William and Mary Martin and 
Arthur Shuff. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at 
HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, 
LA on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and on Friday morning 
from 9:00am until 11:00am. Services will begin at 11:00am. 
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kourtney’s honor at any local 
Capital One Bank.
