LISA ANNE POWERS, age 49, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 after a brief 
illness. Beloved daughter of George and Saundra Powers. 

Sister of Lolita Guyllette (Daniel) and brother William C. Powers, III. 

She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Edward and Alice Jaggers of 
Bedford, IN and by paternal grandparents W.C. Powers, Sr. and Katie Powers of 
Port Gibson, MS. 

Survived by her aunt Peggy Andrews, Anne Powers, Bettina Randolph (Charles) and 
uncle Lawrence Jaggers (Brenda); niece, Christina Guyllette, great niece Sophia 
Adams, cousins April Rothery and Robert Andrews (Amanda) and numerous other 
cousins. 

Lisa was born in Biloxi, MS on Keesler A.F.B. on June 19, 1962 as a daughter of 
a career military man; she traveled with her family until December 1979. She 
was a 1980 graduate of John Ehret High School in Marrero, LA and attended UNO 
for several semesters before working 16 years as office personnel for 
pediatrician Dr. Michael Haydel. 
She has worked for State Farm for almost 13 years in various positions. 
Lisa loved animals, had many hobbies, loved to travel and dig in the dirt 
(gemstones, gold and fossils). 

She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at 
HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, 
LA on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00am. 
Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am. 

Interment will be private at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the fight against 
sarcoma cancer.
