Virginia Santos Alejandro, 93, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Pedro Alejandro; devoted mother of Pedro 
Alejandro, Jr. (Yvonne), and Carmen A. Gilyot (Desdune) and the daughter of the 
late Flores Santos and Martina Rivera Santos. She was preceded in death by four 
sisters, Maria Del Carmen, Juana, Herminia, Maria, and four brothers, Juanito, 
Ramon, Francisco, and Marcelino. She was also preceded in death by her two 
brothers-in-law, Francisco and Ricardo Alejandro, and sister in-law, Adela 
Alejandro. She leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughters, Danielle G. 
Worden (Matt), Melissa A. Pedrazzani (David), Erika G. Montgomery (Marc), 
Vanessa A. Ewbank (Jeremy); seven great-grandchildren, Lisa, Nikolas, Zoe, 
Marley, Gabriella, Myles and Wesley; her sisters-in –law, Mercedes, Maria and 
Amparos Santos; her beloved niece Carmen Luz Berthelsen and a host of nieces 
and nephews. 

She was a native of Puerto Rico, and a resident of Slidell for the last 22 
years. 

Her passions were gardening, cooking and her family. 

The family would like to thank the Lacombe Nursing Center, Hospice Compassus, 
Roberto and Berta Lord for the compassion, love and care they gave to our Mom.

A private commemoration of life was held. 

Arrangements are by Bagnell & Son Funeral Home of Covington.
