Carolyn Medine Bush departed this life on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the age of 
71. 

She was surrounded by family and friends at her home in Pearl River, LA. 

Daughter of the late Clay and Ruth Medine, she was preceded in death by her 
beloved husband of thirty-eight years, Jimmy Dexter Bush, Sr. 
She is survived by two sisters and their husbands: Sharon and Scott Catlett and 
Sandra and Morris Bullard; three sons and their wives: Chris and Laura Bush, 
Jimmy and Christine Bush, and Brian and Benita Bush; six grandchildren: Kerra, 
Jimmy, Alexis, Stephen, Zale, and Jace; one great-grandchild: Jex; and her 
beloved pet: Beignet. 

Carolyn was a retired masters swimmer, coaching and instructing generations of 
swimmers from her neighborhood, Magnolia Forest, where she was cared for by a 
host of loving friends. 

A funeral mass will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pearl 
River, LA on Saturday, April 14 at 2:00.
