He was born on December 28, 1954 in New Orleans to Vivian Eimer Cucchiara and the late Mario P. Cucchiara. The beloved husband of Anne Soileau Cucchiara, he is survived by his children and their mother: Caitlin E. Cucchiara, Christopher Paul Cucchiara and Mary Ann Meiners Cucchiara; two sisters, Peggy Knight and Candy Wayert, her husband Jack; his step-son, J. Asher Fabre and one grandson, Jackson B. Cucchiara. Bruce was a dedicated Christian, a respected community leader and businessman. He will always be missed. A graduate of St. Paul’s School with the class of 1972, he remained active in the Alumni Association and St. Paul’s Foundation Board. He received his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and began his career in the banking and financial industry. He was the first President of Resource Bank based in St. Tammany Parish and was the CFO of SECO, a real estate development company in Covington. An avid sports fan, he dedicated decades of his life to Covington’s youth as a volunteer baseball and basketball coach. A dedicated member of Trinity Church, he recently traveled to Romania on a mission to spread the Gospel and lead others to Christ. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Trinity Church, 19380 North 10th St., Covington, LA 70433. A wake is scheduled to take place at Trinity Church on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM with visitation beginning Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment at the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery will immediately follow services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s School, P.O. Box 928, Covington, LA 70434 or to a charity of choice. ===================
