GAIL KASTNER HEYD, born on September 20, 1942, passed away peacefully 
surrounded by her children on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 after a 2 year battle 
with cancer.

Mother of Michael J. Buras, Sr., Sherry Buras Metzger, and Jay A. Buras; 
Mother-in-Law of Debra H. Buras and Jodi V. Buras;
Daughter of the late Michael E. and Josephine P. Kastner; 
Grandmother of Michael Buras, Jr., Blake Pohlmann, Erin and Andrew Metzger, and 
Brooke Buras; 
Step-Grandmother of Nichole Simoneaux and Janice McGrath; 
Sister of the late Ellen L. Kastner; 
Former wife of Richard C. Heyd and the late Ernest J. Buras, Jr. 

She was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 39 years and lived in Slidell for 
the past six years. 
She retired from Wal-Mart after 26 years of service. 

The children also extend a heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Joan Gros, Dr. Calabresi, 
Dr. Karam, Dr. Sultan and St. Joseph Hospice. 

Contributions to the American Cancer Society are preffered.
