Loving father of William J. Lahners (Crystal), Rebecca Lahners Wilson (Matthew) and Tracy Lahners Wall (Kelly). Son of the late Regina Inez Howell Lahners and William S. Lahners. Brother of William S. Lahners (Donna), and Regina L. Herzog (Fred). Devoted grandfather of William, Ella, Aubrey, Andrew, Abigail, Kara, Kalin and Katie. Mr. Lahners was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Mandeville for the past 11 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a New Orleans-Baton Rouge Steamship Pilot for 32 years. He was a devoted family man who loved life and cherished his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Friday from 11:00 AM until Mass time.
