Beloved husband of Sharon Kegley Mabe, formerly of Wytheville, VA. Father of Ryan Kegley Mabe (wife Heather Kay Brindley). Grandfather of Mickayla, Dakota and Hunter Mabe. Brother of Carolyn Thompson (husband Tommy). A native of Sugar Grove, VA, a resident of Covington, LA for the past 17 years. Mr. Mabe ranked in the top ten percent of his VA Tech class in 1969. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in Viet Nam; then he completed his MBA from Rollins College in Winter Park. He worked in the medical field for over thirty years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 6:00 PM. Visitation from 5:00 PM until service time.The remains will then be forwarded to Seaver-Brown Funeral Service, 237 East Main St., Marion, VA 24354 (www.seaver-brown.com).
