She was the beloved wife of Jamie Sbisa, a lifelong resident of Slidell, LA. Tracy is also survived by her parents, Lee and Marty Stewart; two sisters, Deborah Carlson married to Steve, and Mary McGill married to Oliver; three nieces, Jessica Carlson, Reagan Carlson, and Sarah McGill; one nephew, Trey McGill, all residents of Slidell, LA. Tracy was born on August 25, 1970 at the Naval Air Station Memphis, Millington, TN. She is a graduate of Northshore High School in Slidell, and the University of New Orleans, graduating with a Master’s degree in Education. She taught high school English at her alma mater, Northshore High School, from 1992 until 1998. She then went to work for the Ochsner Medical Center in the Human Resources Department rising to the position of Director, Human Resources, which she held until her death. Tracy lived a fulfilling life, in spite of having Cystic Fibrosis. She was very instrumental in organizing local fund raising activities to support finding a cure. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am.
