She was 89 years old and a native and life resident of Folsom. Mrs. Ella was the wife of the late Royal J. Bourgeois, Sr. and was the beloved mother of Royal J. “R.J.” Bourgeois, Jr. (Yolanda), Ella Louise Bourgeois, Yvette B. Barbazon, Regina Core (Barney), Roger Bourgeois (Gwen), all of Folsom, and the late Wanda B. Jenkins. She was the step-mother of Gale Ann Bourgeois of Ponchatoula. She was the daughter of the late Charles August and Elizabeth “Bessie” Sharp Gotti and the sister of Martha Huval and the late William J. Gotti. She had 21 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was a house wife and worked at St. Tammany Parish Hospital as a nurse’s assistant for many years. A faithful parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, she was a very giving and loving lady that will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at St. Joseph Abbey Church, 75376 River Rd., St. Benedict, LA 70457. Visiting hours at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433 will begin Saturday at 12:00 Noon with recitation of the Rosary at 1:00 PM. Interment at the Allison Cemetery will immediately follow mass. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or to Hospice of St. Tammany. ===================
