John Octave Braud passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012.

Beloved husband of the late Vivian Ruth Fitzmorris Braud for 65 years. Father 
of Cynthia B. White (Ben), Kenneth D. Braud (Fran) and Robert J. Braud 
(Cheryl). Grandfather of Virginia Braud, Michelle Knoll (Dylan), Peter, Thomas 
and Johnny Braud, Dione Yager (Ron), and Doug White (Rena). Great-grandfather 
of Paul David Knoll, Amanda Yager, Peter Yager, Sam White and Mimi White. 
Brother-in-law of Tillie Lavigne. Brother of the late Julian, John W., Joseph 
and Milton Braud.

Age 93 years. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army having served in the 
Normandy invasion. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Covington, LA 
for the past 33 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 
St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20307 Smith Rd., Covington, LA 70435 on 
Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, from 9:00 AM 
until service time. 
Interment in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.

A special Thank you to Pontchartrain Health Care Center, Norte Dame Hospice, 
Theresa Bourgeois, Art Seghers and April Mayo.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to either St. Benedict 
Catholic Church or New Zion Baptist Church Lunch Ministry.
