He was born March 23, 1955 in Cadillac, MI to the late Chester Duane, Sr. and Ila Leona Nutter Brown. The beloved husband of Kim Sue Clason Brown, he is survived by three sons: Chester “Chet” Duane Brown III, Justen Roland Brown and his wife Jacqueline Myatt Brown and Jared Allen Brown; his brother, Charles James Brown; one sister, Esther Brown Nederhood and two grandsons, Gabriel Daniel and Riley Caswell Brown. The son-in-law of the late Roland Bruce and Vina Sue Clason, he was a cherished brother-in-law of the late Martin Bruce Clason and Allen Kirk Clason. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jean K. Clason and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chet, a graduate of Northwestern Michigan College, made his career in the oil and gas industry, working for BP International for the last years of his career. An avid sports and outdoors enthusiast, his passions were playing basketball, hunting and traveling with his family. “A Celebration of Life” for Chet will be held Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Lake House on the Mandeville Lakefront. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to M.D. Anderson Cancer ===================
