She is survived by the love of her life, her "Honey Bun" Martin Smith, her beloved children, Darryl and Max Ward, and her little treasures, her grandchildren, Drew and Maya Ward; she is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Charles Hodges, and her late husband Wellington "Wimpy" Courrege. Age 66 years, born in Granger Texas, resident of Slidell for the past 20 years, and former resident of Harahan Louisiana. She was a member of the Birthday Social Club, the Red Hat Social Club, supporter of the Tammany Yacht Club, former member of the Pete Fountain's Better-Half Wives Club, and an active member within the Slidell Community. She was a well-respected insurance agent with Stiel Insurance servicing clients in Slidell, Metairie, and the greater New Orleans area. After her last trip to California to visit her grandchildren, she was surprised and overjoyed to find that her Red Hat Club had replanted her garden with beautiful new flowers for her. Ann, as she was known, will always be remembered for her upbeat personality, caring spirit, and the great bonds and friendships she has established over the years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service in her honor at the Tammany Yacht Club at 1196 Harbor Dr. Slidell LA 70458 on Thursday May 17th 2012 at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Make-A-Wish foundation. ===================
