He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Dell Southward Fowler; father of Carol F. Bussell (Melvin) and brother of Frank A. Fowler, the late Bruce, Earl, Daniel W. Fowler, Ella F. Hoffman, Hazel F. Alto and June F. Stroop. He is also survived by two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was a native of Washington, D.C., and a longtime resident of Pearl River. Fowler retired from Southern Railway after 42 years of service. He served in World War II with the 106th Infantry Division in the European Theatre. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial services from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Friday May 25, 2012, at the Pearl River United Methodist Church, 65480 Louisiana Highway 41, Pearl River, with a celebration potluck and singing at the Church's Agape Center at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Church's Building Fund, payable to Pearl River UMC, 65480 La. Highway 41, Pearl River, LA 70452 are preferred. Arrangements by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc., Slidell. ===================
