Loyd “Pete” Galloway, 75, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012.

He was the beloved husband of Willie Mae Keating; father of Ginny Galloway Durr 
(Hank), Lynn Galloway Sharp (Donald) and Greg Galloway (Lorraine); brother of 
the late Linda Fussell; and foster brother of Sky Norheim. He is also survived 
by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 
one granddaughter.

He was a retired field engineer with the state of Louisiana and later served as 
a consultant with several road construction companies. 
He was a longtime deacon at New Zion, a member of Mill Brook Hunting Club. 
He was a native and lifelong resident of Covington.

Religious services were held Thursday, May 3, at New Zion Baptist Church, 
Covington. 

Interment was in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the church building 
fund
