Glenn H. and Edna McGinnis Webb. Eve passed into eternal life April 24, 2012, at the Joni Fair Hospice House in Pueblo, Colo. She spent her early years in Kansas and with her family in pastorates in Weiser, Idaho and Burns, Ore. She was a graduate of Northwest Nazarene Academy in 1942, and the Northwest Nazarene College in 1948. She took time out from her college studies during World War II to work at shipyards building aircraft carriers in Portland, Ore. Highlights of her college years included working in the college bookstore and touring through Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas, and Minnesota with a ladies quartet, “The Melodies” in the summer of 1947. On Aug. 24, 1948 Eve married Hubert Wesley Herron at the College Church of the Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho. After her graduate work in education, Eve taught home economics at schools in Oakland and Eagle, Ore. Hugh worked as an engineer with the Boeing and Martin Marietta companies in the NASA space program. So her family years were spent in Washington, Arizona, Colorado, and Alabama. While in Huntsville, Ala., Eve taught U.S. history, civics, and French courses at the junior high. After Hugh’s retirement, he and Eve joined Honaker Reality. They later bought Honaker Reality and changed the name to Slidell Reality. Where they enjoyed serving the people of St. Tammany Parish for more than 20 years. Eve was a life-long member of the Church of the Nazarene and was still a charter member of the Slidell Church. She loved music and choirs and was always active in music programs and the church’s World Missions Society. She and Hugh participated in the organization and construction of two home mission churches. One located in Madison, Ala., and the other in Slidell. She loved cooking and entertaining. She was a top-notch seamstress and tailor; making clothes for family and friends, including wedding dresses and gowns. Hugh passed away in 1996 after his courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Following Hugh’s death, Eve relocated to Colorado with her eldest son Kent. This allowed her to be near her daughter Glenda and son-in-law Donald. Eve resided in Canon City, Denver, and Pueblo areas in Colorado until July 2011 when her illness placed her at the Fowler Health Care Center. Kent and Eve spent happy years working with Hugh’s sister Rebeca in her business in Denver. She spent a lot of her later years reading, studying, and writing on such topics as prayer, healing, and prophecy. She had returned to Kent’s home in Fowler shortly before her passing. Eve was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother and sisters- in-law, Paul and Margie Wordsworth; her brother Kenneth Webb; her sister Jeraldine Mangum; a favorite aunt, Bertha Taves; her son-in-law Donald Woolsey; and brothers-in-law, Delmer Cook, Thomas Hite, Weldon Wood, Don Herron, Lloyd Hubbard, Edward Arnold, and sister-in-law Kaye Bartlow. Eve is survived by her sons Kent D.
