Beloved husband of Carol McKean Holdsworth for the past 53 years. Father of Edwin Holdsworth, III, Dr. Carolyn Holdsworth, Mark Holdsworth and the late Michael Holdsworth. Son of the late Edwin F., Sr. and Lilly Parker Holdsworth. Brother of Edith Cocran and the late John Holdsworth and Violet Kelly. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 1 late grandson, 4 great grandchildren and also numerous nieces and nephews. Age 84 years; a native of Slidell, LA and a resident of Pearl River for 46 years. Eddie graduated from Slidell High School in 1945 and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was the owner and operator of Eddie’s Exxon on Front Street in Slidell, LA and was active in the St. Tammany Youth Livestock Association. Throughout his life, Eddie had a passion for Thoroughbred Horse racing and LSU football. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and on Thursday morning from 9:00am until 10:00am. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
