Beloved husband of 52 years to Jeanne Krieger Johnson. Loving father of Kim Johnson Duvieilh (John) and Jill Johnson Slipher (Frank). Son of the late Theresa Heirsh Johnson and Paul J. Johnson. Brother of Thomas J. Johnson, Gayle Johnson Calamari and Judith Johnson Mittelstaedt. Grandfather of Lauren Lestremau Harpole, Katie Duvieilh White and Justin Paul Duvieilh. Mr. Johnson was a native of New Orleans where he was the owner of Krieger’s Tire and Supply, and was a resident of Slidell for the past 14 years. He graduated from St. Stanislaus High School and was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing with his longtime friend, Andrew Stoll. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Matthew McElveen, Tracey of Guardian Home Health and Gina, Lisette and Jenny of Lakeshore Hospice for their professionalism, kindness and compassion during his brief illness. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM with visitation on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate Masses or donations in memory of Mr. Johnson to be made to Lakeshore Hospice, 2000 N. Causeway Blvd., Mandeville, LA ===================
