She was born on July 12, 1933 in Houma, LA to the late Alvin A. and Fedelia Verret Hebert and was a resident of Harvey, LA for many years before moving to Covington. Devoted wife of 60 years to the late Francis “Red” Reiss, she was the loving mother of Linda Reiss Davis and Wanda Reiss Urban. Mother-in-law of Ricky David Urban and Wayne J. Guillot, Sr.; grandmother of Jamey Urban Carrick and husband David, Rod Francis Davis and fiancée Paula; great-grandmother to the loves of her life: Cassidy Jade and Cooper David Carrick and Tristen Strider; sister of Rosemary “Mae Mae” Hebert, Roy Hebert, Sr. and Anthony “Russell” Hebert. She was preceded in death by her older brother Paul Hebert, Sr. Mrs. Reiss is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. The family would like to make special mention of the following devoted friends that she considered “family”: Michael and Barbara Urban, Henry and Rita Urban, Michael and Susan Guillot and Barbara Neidhardt and family. To Dr. Jack Saux, Mary Almond and Hospice of St. Tammany, the family extends sincere appreciation. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside services at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Spring Creek Cemetery in Kentwood, LA.
