Beloved mother of Joe Barbara (Janet), Keith Barbara (Elizabeth), Cheryl Messerli (Franz), Mark Barbara (Cindy), Paul Barbara (Amy) and Daniel Barbara; loving grandmother of Shane, Aaron, Kellie, Holly, Amy, Eric, Joshua, Vincent and Dylan; great-grandmother of Dane, Chase, Adam, Jacob, Rose, Brody and Elena; and sister of Lawrence Navo and Margaret N. Spreen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Joseph Barbara, Sr.; her son, Vincent Joseph Barbara, Jr.; her mother, Louise Betz Navo; her father, Simon Navo; four brothers, S.J., Melvin, Herman and Julian Navo; and two sisters, Louise and Beverly Navo. Age 83 years, she was a native of Shreveport, LA and a resident of St. Tammany Parish, LA for the past 20 years. Her love for her faith allowed her to be an organist for St. Rita Catholic Church in Harahan and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Folsom for many years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Visitation on Tuesday will be from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow mass at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457. ===================
