Father of the late Suzanne Marie Bryant. Brother of Iris Castles, George Bryant, the late Evelyn , Jim Bryant. Uncle of Hugh Castles(Rosa), and other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was also survived by his beloved companion, “Little Bit”. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for the past 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the U.S.S. San Diego from 1943- 45. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea from 1950-59. He retired as a Staff Sargent. He was a life member of the Jans F Hursey Marine Corps League Detatchment of Slidell. The family would like to extend special thanks to the ICU Nursing Staff at Ochsner Foundation Northshore, as well as his special friends, Mary Draughn and Darlene Graves. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. Interment in the Baton Rouge National Cemetery, 220 North 19th Street, Baton Rouge on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation on Monday after 3:00 P.M. until funeral time.
