She was a wife for 56 years and the third of 10 children born to Emanuel and Emma Ordon on July 10, 1938, in Covington. She is survived by her husband, Theodore J. Diaz Sr., and their children and children’s wives, Theodore J. Diaz Jr., the late Barry J. Diaz Sr., Valerie Ann Diaz, Ozell and Livia Diaz, Paul and Edna Thomas-Diaz; her siblings, Mary Ann Williams, Margie Ordon, Manuel Ordon, Henry Ordon, Leona, Lolita Ordon, Virgie Ordon, Iona Johnson, Iola Alexis and Plase (PJ); grandchildren, Tony Diaz, Barry Diaz Jr. and Yuka Matsuda Diaz, Sophylia Diaz, Carrie Diaz, Theodore Darnell Diaz, Koleasha Diaz, Lakyra S. Diaz, Yvad Diaz, Zahn Diaz, Dorian Diaz, Attila Diaz, Brandon Diaz, Jarvis Bedford and Kentrell; great-grandchildren, Theodora (Faith), Hope, Marrissa Marrlasha, Taylor Jorie Diaz, Yoko Marie Diaz, Yudor Theador Masuda Diaz; and a large number of brother- and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Diaz was a Covington High and cosmetology school graduate with training in nursing, upholstery and arts and crafts. The housewife served others and loved shopping, cooking, re-upholstering furniture and gardening, the latter especially with her sons. She worked at restaurants throughout the Mandeville, Covington and Lacombe areas and as a children’s sitter. Her hobbies included baking and sewing. She designed costumes, created dolls and decorated cakes for special events. She was known most of all as a believer, a true Christian trusting God, who read Scriptures daily and shared them with others. She facilitated Bible studies at her church, spoke at engagements, and took piano lessons with the desire to one day play beloved gospel songs in church. Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2012, from 9-11 a.m. at Ephesus SDA Church, 923 N. Florida St., Covington. Funeral services by Richardson Funeral Home of St. Tammany will follow the visitation. ===================
