Edith Edna Mandal Guidry, passed from this life on June 8, 2012 at her home in 
Chalmette, LA at the age of 93. 

She was a member of OLPS Golden Ages and Altar Society Clubs and also a member 
of the Chalmette Chapter of AARP. 

She was born in New Orleans and a resident of Chalmette for the last 28 years. 

Beloved wife of the late Horace J. Guidry. 
Loving mother of Linda G. Moran and the late Larry J. Moran and Brian J. Guidry 
and his wife Julie. 
Sister of the late James M. Mandal. 
Grandmother of Shawn and his wife Jill, Jason and his wife Stephanie, Joshua 
and his wife Kristine, Jonathan and Sarah Guidry. 
Great Grandmother of Alyssa, Riley, Logan, Lainey and Gavin. 

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Sherletta, Shelly, Margaret 
and Terry, her caregivers. 

In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Bernard Parish Animal Shelter are 
preferred.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian 
Burial at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Chalmette, LA, on Tuesday, 
June 12 at 12:00 noon. 
Visitation at the church from 10:00 am until Mass time. Followed by the 
interment at Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans.
